I'm a Senior iOS Developer and Team Lead working in software development since 2013. Originally from Brazil, I came alone to Japan when I was 17 years old and since then I've spent more than 20 years living and working in multicultural environments, primarily in Japan and Canada (with long stays in China and the USA). 🇧🇷🇯🇵🇨🇦🇨🇳🇺🇸 2013年からソフトウェア開発に従事しているシニアiOSエンジニア兼チームリードです。ブラジル出身で、17歳の時に単身で日本に来ました。それ以来、20年以上にわたり、主に日本とカナダ（中国やアメリカでの長期滞在も含む）で多文化環境の中で生活し、働いてきました。🇧🇷🇯🇵🇨🇦🇨🇳🇺🇸
What I do
I build iOS and iPadOS applications from the ground up, focusing on clean architecture, maintainable code, and exceptional user experiences. I'm passionate about staying current with the latest Apple technologies — from SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency to Swift 6 and modern tooling.
Beyond coding, I actively participate in feature planning, architecture design, and mentoring team members. I believe in improving workflows through automation and building tools that make development more efficient.
How I work
I always develop with the end user in mind. I think carefully about how the app will be used and strive to create the best possible experience — intuitive flows, thoughtful interactions, and polished details.
I prefer building modular, well-encapsulated components that are easier to test and maintain. I leverage LLMs effectively in my workflow and constantly look for ways to automate repetitive tasks. I've been working remotely since 2019 and thrive in distributed teams across time zones.
My attention to detail also helps me find bugs — colleagues often praise my ability to catch issues that others miss. I spot problems not just in code or during QA, but also early in the development process: during planning discussions or when reviewing design mockups. By imagining real user scenarios, I identify edge cases and potential pitfalls before they become costly fixes.
Outside of work
I love learning and am often taking online courses. One of my passions is languages—I’m fluent in Japanese, English, and Portuguese. I’ve also studied Korean 🇰🇷 (which I’ve mostly forgotten), French 🇫🇷 (from living in Ottawa and being able to easily visit a French-speaking city), and Chinese 🇨🇳, which I hope to speak someday since my wife uses it at home.
Beyond languages, I've had many other hobbies which I still love whenever I get the chance to practice them: tennis 🎾, beach tennis, climbing 🧗🏻, iaido, piano 🎹, orchestral percussion 🪘, and—last but definitely not least—spending time with my son, which is currently my main focus.

常にエンドユーザーを意識して開発しています。アプリがどのように使われるかを深く考え、最高の体験を提供することを目指しています — 直感的なフロー、思慮深いインタラクション、細部まで磨き上げられた仕上がり。
モジュール化された、カプセル化されたコンポーネントを好んで構築します。これによりテストと保守が容易になります。LLMを効果的に活用し、繰り返し作業を自動化する方法を常に探しています。2019年からリモートワークを続けており、タイムゾーンを超えた分散チームで力を発揮しています。
細部への注意力はバグ発見にも役立っています — 同僚からは、他の人が見逃す問題を見つける能力をよく褒められます。コードやQA中だけでなく、企画段階やデザインモックアップのレビュー時など、開発プロセスの早い段階で問題を発見します。実際のユーザーシナリオを想像することで、エッジケースや潜在的な落とし穴を、コストのかかる修正になる前に特定します。
仕事以外
学ぶことが好きで、よくオンラインコースを受講しています。言語への情熱があり、日本語、英語、ポルトガル語が流暢です。韓国語🇰🇷（ほとんど忘れてしまいましたが）、フランス語🇫🇷（オタワに住んでいた時にフランス語圏の都市に簡単に行けたので）、そして中国語🇨🇳も勉強しました。妻が家で中国語を使うので、いつか話せるようになりたいです。
言語以外にも、機会があれば今でも楽しんでいる趣味がたくさんあります：テニス🎾、ビーチテニス、クライミング🧗🏻、居合道、ピアノ🎹、オーケストラパーカッション🪘、そして何より息子と過ごす時間が現在の一番の楽しみです。
